F.A.Q.

  • What happens if it's raining?
    Relay for Life goes on rain, hail or shine. Dress appropriately! If the weather is to severe then Relay will be inside the High School Gym.
  • Do we stay all night?
    Absolutely! We'll have lots of fun activities and entertainment for those who stay with us all night.
  • How do I pick my team site?
    The team sites are picked on Bank Night. The order that you pick your Team Site is the order that you paid your $100.00 setup fee.
  • Can I bring my dog?
    Dogs are not permitted per American Cancer Society Event Rules. Naturally, guide dogs are an exception to this rule.
  • Will food be available?
    Many teams will have meals and snacks available for sale during the entire event and everyone is encouraged to bring money to support their fundraising efforts.
  • Does money raised for luminaria count towards my Teams Goal?
    No, the two are separate.
  • Do I have to have a co-captain for my team?
    No, that is not required. It is up to you, but many Team Captains will tell you a co-captain is very helpful.
  • Can I add team members to my team after we have already registered?
    Yes, you can add team members up until the day of relay. All registered team members will receive a
    t-shirt but we can only guarantee requested sizes for those registering.
  • What time can we set up our campsite for Relay?
    The field will be open on Friday at 8am
  • If we are cooking at our campsite, are we allowed to build a small contained camp-fire?
    No, the fire department will not allow any open flames at the event.
  • Where can we park for the event?
    In front of the Meade Co.High School. There will be a few wheelchairs available for Survivors who have trouble walking.
  • Who are checks made payable to?
    Make all checks payable to:
    The American Cancer Society
  • How many people do I need to have in order to have a team?
    8 to 15 people
  • What size are the campsites?
    12 feet in length
  • Do I have to be a business in order to have a team?
    No, family or individual teams are very welcome and are encouraged to participate in Relay
  • What is the last day my team can turn in money?
    Relay Night at 12 Midnight
  • Is electric available at all the campsites?
    No, there are only a few electrical outlets available
