941 - CHIEF, SCOTTY SINGLETON

As Chief of Police, I would like to welcome everyone to the Brandenburg Police Department website.

Please let me begin with telling you a little about myself.

My hometown is Brandenburg and I am very proud to be serving the citizens that live and work here.  Prior to entering law enforcement, I spent 20 years in the volunteer fire service  and also worked for the Bullitt County Detention Center as a Deputy Jailer.

I began my law enforcement career with the Brandenburg Police Department in 2002.  After some on the job training, I went through the Department of Criminal Justice Training’s Police Academy in 2003, graduating with the class of #334.

Working under former Police Chief, Jeff Cox, I was promoted to Sergeant in 2006.  After Chief Cox left the department, I was promoted to Chief of Police and will always vow to do the best job possible.

It has and always will be a real pleasure working with the citizens, children and visitors of the community.  I look forward to many years of growth.
